On idefimusic.com you can create a page and sell your original music for free. You set your own pricing and determine how your music is packaged (single, EP or Album).

What happens after your music sells is what makes idefi unique. When your music sells, you earn reward points which open services of a traditional record label. These rewards increase as sales increase. There are also no contracts, we don't take ownership of your material and there is never any recoupment back to idefi.

idefi rewards levels

500 Points: idefi Radio idefi radio will be a streaming music player which will play only idefi artists. The idefi system will also digitally distribute your music for free to other streaming players such as Pandora, Grooveshark etc.
1,000 Points: Digital Distribution The idefi system will distribute your music to other digital download and streaming systems such as iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Rapsody etc. The advantage of going through idefi is that you still earn rewards points on your sales even when they are on another system.
7,500 Points: Artist Development Artist at this rewards level begin working with idefi’s Artist Development team. This team will be like a “super” management team working on your behalf.

This team will work to achieve publicity and sponsorship opportunities for you as well as assist in developing your brand and image. These opportunities will include things such as: guest spots on TV shows, opening for major artist in your area, placement of your music in TV, film video games etc.
12,500 Points: CD Production and Distribution When you reach this level, your material will be submitted for duplication to Copycats Media. You will work directly with Copycat’s artistic team to design artwork for your release. idefi will pay for the artwork, initial order of CD’s, all reorders and mastering if needed.

Once your CD’s are completed, they will be submitted to our distributor Alliance Entertainment. Alliance is the #1 music distributor in the United States and #4 worldwide.

Alliance will make your music available to thousands of physical and on-line retail outlets worldwide. idefi will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels and making sure you always have product in stock and ready to distribute to stores.

You will also be able to order CD’s directly from the distributor at wholesale cost to sell at your live events.
25,000 Points: Radio and Press Promotion When you reach this level, idefi will put together and execute a full marketing plan for your release. This will include advertisements in genre specific magazines such as Spin, Alternative Press, Relevant, HM, Filter, XXL etc.

We will also do press releases to all genre specific print and online publications and full radio promotion. Radio promotion includes hiring an independent, professional radio promoter to work your release to radio.
30,000 Points: Tour Support and Booking idefi Music will guarantee you a contract with a reputable booking agency which books artists in your genre.
40,000 Points: Music Video Production and Distribution idefi will provide you with a budget of $5,000 to produce a broadcast ready music video of one your songs.

Once your video is completed the artist’s development team will distribute it to online and cable outlets specific to your genre. These outlets will include: MTV, VH1, BET, TVU, CMT, youtube etc.
100,000 Points: Next Album Production: idefi will provide you with a budget of $15,000 to produce your next album.

How does idefi Music make money?

idefi never charges the artist upfront for any of our services. We primarily earn money from the sales of your music. We also allow you to decide what percentage you keep and what percentage you give to idefi.

This pricing structure gives you the freedom to develop your career at the rate you choose and puts the emphasis on idefi to promote you and your music.

How many rewards points do I earn for each sale?

You get to choose the amount of each sale you keep and which part goes to idefi. This decision directly affects the rewards points and works like this:

15% to idefi, 85% to you = 0 rewards points
25% to idefi, = 75% to you = .5 Point per $1
50% to idefi, 50% to you = 1 Point per $1
75% to idefi, 25% to you = 1.5 Points per $1
100% to idefi, 0% to you = 2 Points per $1 (this will be setup as a button that allows you to "crowdsource" your fans to get to that next level)
